Al Quesada is the President, CEO and sole owner of ECU Imports, a leading US importer of the finest distilled spirits, champagne and wines from around the world. During Al's 25 year tenure in the wine and spirits industry and his recent 17 year career span with Schieffelin & Somerset Co., the exclusive US import sales network for LVMH, Al managed the sales efforts for world renown brands such as Moet et Chandon, Dom Perignon, Dom Ruinart Champagne, Johnnie Walker, Dewar's, Tanqueray, Hennessy &Grand Marnier for 23 states and over 75 distributors.
One of his many responsibilities included the management of product allocation for Dom Perignon for the 23 states. This included establishing pricing, spearheading sales and marketing initiatives. Due to the extreme success of these initiatives, the brand portfolio was propelled to a pre-eminent and market leadership position as it stands today.
ECU Imports is authorized by the Department of the Treasury (TTB) and has been issued a US Import Basic Permit #FL-I-21085. The Importers permit allows for the importation and sales of distilled spirits, table wine and champagne into the United States. ECU Imports is also permitted to provide delivery for sale, contract to sell or ship, in interstate of foreign commerce. The distilled spirits, table wine and champagne products imported by ECU Imports to the US is authorized and has been granted Federal label and registration approval in addition to the individual and stringent requirements of each state. Every imported alcohol product is pre-registered according to the Federal Alcohol Administration Act and issued a certificate of label approval (COLA), as required by Federal laws and regulations as mandated by the Department of the Treasury which regulates the importation of every distilled spirits and wine brand sold in the US.
Al earned his MBA in International Business from the University of Miami and resides in Coral Springs, Florida.
